The 2 1/2 inch mandrel bent exhaust is only $100.00,maybe another 90.00 for a good muffler. Probably on the 5.7 you'd gain 20HP or more for only a $200.00 investment. I want to express that I am brand loyal. I had a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 5 7 hemi, after I had a 2016 Ram 1500 with 5.7 hemi. The 5.7L Hemi is a great engine. It paired with the 545RFE transmission and you will be on the road for quite some time. I have 120k miles on mine and have had no engine problems whatsoever. Vary rarely do we see any problems with these engines here on the forums. 2010 JKU - Stock for now.

The owners manual says you can go up to 8K - you should only do this if you're going full synthetic, but even 8K is a safe bet with a good oil and filter. 3K changes are just wasting your money in a regular vehicle like this. If you were driving the piss out of a Hellcat, then 3K would make sense. B. Even Chrysler address it to solve. Basically the chain snaps around 80-120k miles while cruising around 50-70mph. It showed itself as a cylinder 3 misfire code and a bad miss and vibration. Turned out to be a bad lifter that wore the cam lobe for #3 almost flat.

I recently flushed the cooling system, changed upper and lower radiator hoses, replaced 203 degree thermostat with new 203 degree, new 18 lb radiator cap, and refilled with Mopar coolant. Engine temp has been consistent (before and after).
The problem comes from raising the cam in the block to re-do the valvetrain geometry. That solved a lot of the valvetrain problems the GenI and GenII HEMI's had, but introduced new ones with oiling at idle. I purchased a 2005 Grand Cherokee 5.7 that "needed a head gasket" for very cheap. Upon further inspection it dropped two valve seats. One on cylinder 1, one on cylinder 8. At this point I should have decided to put in another engine.. unfortunately I didn't. Cylinder 1s seat got stuck and did not touch or damage the piston.

Haven't had to replace the one on either the '98 Grand with the 4.0 or the '07 with the 5.7. On the 5.7 when I hook up the Autel to it, I usually get 20 psi hot oil pressure readings.
